Image PDIC's Institutional Relations Department (IRD)

The Institutional Relations Department (IRD) is primarily responsible for fostering good relationship and linkages with institutional stakeholders to promote PDIC’s mandate locally and globally and generate greater deposit insurance awareness among various stakeholders.

Through activities such as dialogues with banking stakeholders, hosting of local and foreign institutional study visits, conduct of international and local conferences and symposia coordinated or organized by IRD, and through regular interface with stakeholders, PDIC hopes to share its expertise and experience and draw from best practices worldwide.

As a founding member of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), PDIC is expected to be actively involved in IADI activities in the attainment of the Association’s objectives of sharing deposit insurance expertise with a view towards fostering financial stability.

 

Functions:

  •  Issues monitoring of local and regional deposit insurance sector

 •  Networking and linkaging with various stakeholders to generate deposit insurance awareness and generate materials for the Resource Center

   Assistance to foreign and local researchers
